Duncan is the founder of Ballantyne Communications, a senior consultant, arts manager and programmer with fourteen years experience of campaigning and developing cross-cultural and international projects.  The agency was born in 2012 and provides communications, branding and digital services for a range of clients and projects - from music, food and festivals to travel and human rights. He is co founder of Tiger's Milk, a Peruvian music and arts company and loves eating octopus.

Nicole McKenzie

Senior Press Officer

Nicole has been a fixture in London's music scene for over a decade leading labels like the world renowned Soul Jazz Records. She also was the lead buyer for Soho's Sounds of the Universe record shop. At the forefront of PR and publicity campaigns, she has helped break new artists and develop existing talent. She's often on soundsystem and DJ duties and works with music charity Beat Routes.

Jennifer Cowling

Director & Administrator

Jennifer previously worked extensively as a manager and administrator in a variety of sectors including the NHS, charities and councils as well as running her own retail and catering business for 12 years.

Andy Brown

Videographer & Content Producer

Andy is an independent, freelance filmmaker and producer of film and online content in the arts, culture and heritage sectors. Based in Glasgow since graduating in Film and Media Studies in neighbouring Stirling, his recent clients include Channel 4, Red Bull, Tennents, Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature, Creative Scotland and Scottish Ballet.

 

Jake Hulyer

Copywriter & Journalist

As a copywriter and freelance journalist, Jake writes engaging press releases, biographies and marketing materials for a wide range of arts and culture projects, including Wales' Green Man and the multidisciplinary BE Festival hosted at Birmingham's Rep Theatre. His music journalism sees him writing features and reviews for print and online publications like Guardian, Resident Advisor, The Economist and FACT.

Andrew Pretty

Creative Director of Pretty Media

A multi-channel graphic designer and creative director with extensive experience working on product branding, music and arts marketing collateral and  retail environments for both print and digital. Andrew has extensive knowledge on print production and procurement. Clients include: Habitat, Richard James Savile Row, Ceviche, World Circuit Records, Arcadia, M&S, TK Maxx, St Lukes Communications and RPM to name a few.
